1. Good flexibility - can manage your time decently depending on which lab you work 2. Ample opportunity to cross-train - if your manager does not hold you back

1. They play favorites 2. Upper management will (allegedly) sabotage you 3. Constant stress and anxiety due to poor management 4. Incompetent management because they often place their friends in leadership positions

Cons

No work life balance whatsoever. This job has been awful for my physical and mental health purely due to stress. Long hours with schedule changes frequently, management not understanding the needs of junior level employees, and hazardous working conditions are often a problem. Coworkers can be friendly, but everyone is put through such stress that there are a lot of conflicts between everyone. People are very competitive and often tend to look out only for themselves rather working as a team.
