Pros

Financially Stable Company (because of the products they represent)

Cons

A TOTAL lack of any real management. Most managers are either former (order taker) sales people or friends/buds of someone in the company, that have absolutely no business managing people. There's also a LOT of shady, backroom deals going on with vendors, etc that will test your morals on a daily basis. QC program is also a total farce, as it is in place just to sell more "stuff", not improve anything. Everybody gets the same raise, (based on union), even if one works harder than the next person or not. Everybody is out for themselves because of all the aforementioned (constant atmosphere of back stabbing, me first attitudes). If you like working with a group of selfish, better than thou, sandbagging a-holes, then apply here asap....

Bad place for salesman

Pros

Your customers and that’s about it.

Cons

So much, management doesn’t care about customers or the salesman. Non stop negative feedback, sometimes threatened or yelled at. Most sales managers I’ve seen and definitely the one I work for has no business being a manger and probably has zero formal training on how to manage and inspire salesman just has worked there a long time and knew the right people. No sales goals to understand what’s expected of you, no bonus structure to understand how you’re getting paid and why, no good territory plans, really just a free for all. Keep your questions to your self because if you don’t drink the kool-Aid they will run you out.

Pros

There is a large lunch room

Cons

The culture here is uncomfortable at best. I have not heard the words good job at all. It is an attitude of constant criticism. People have been physically threatened. HR has been made aware but it feels like there isn’t anyone who cares.
