Pros

It’s a great agency with an amazing track record and a ton of great contacts that are available to anyone who works there.

Cons

The talent pool in SV right now is so shallow that anyone of quality will be surrounded by takers and idiots who feel PR is a gravy train that they are entitled to with no commitment on their part.

Pros

I started at Mindshare over two years ago and I have learned more about technology and PR while in this role more than anywhere else. Leadership has decades of experience in the industry and love to pass down their knowledge. They will go above and beyond to provide you with any resources you desire and the training you need, whether it be internally or externally. Public relations is about building relationships and this is an amazing agency to learn and improve those skills. Leadership has incredible connections with reporters and influencers in the industry and will gladly make those introductions for you. From my experience with the company, I felt I have been able to develop a skill set and an understanding of all the aspects and inner workings of the public relations industry. In addition to building skills to excel in my career, I have also experienced great culture. I always feel comfortable talking to my team members about what I want to improve and receiving advice and tools to do so. I never feel micromanaged it is apparent that my superiors care and want only the best outcomes for their employees and clients. I have always felt the utmost support from my superiors and Mindshare and the know they truly want me to succeed, as they do with anyone at the company. Working for Mindshare has been extremely motivating and the hands-on experience employees receive at the company will set anyone up for a successful future.

Cons

Nothing to add. Simply a rewarding place to work.

Pros

Mindshare is a fantastic PR agency to work for if you want to get the best B2B PR experience in Silicon Valley. Since joining the company in October of 2017, I have been learning non-stop! Mindshare offers a great environment for honing PR skills such as writing and developing a broad understanding of foundational PR processes like determining award, speaking and editorial opportunities for each client. It also has allowed me to engage with media face-to-face and build lasting editorial relationships with key media in the B2B space. Heather and her team at Mindshare are great colleagues too, which is an added bonus. At the agency, my manager is Wilson. He is very easy to talk to, and helps me understand complex technology in an engaging way. He is also great at tracking my career progress (we have weekly meetings to make sure I am excelling). Both he, Heather and the senior account managers/directors are all very knowledgeable and eager to help me learn and grow.

Cons

No cons! However, I do want to note that an interest in B2B PR is important if you are thinking about joining the team.
