Pros

Coworkers were nice, made some good friends.

Cons

- Very bad communication. You get told when you're in trouble, and that's pretty much it. This makes you, as an agent, very unprepared when things go wrong...and then, of course, everything is your fault to the customers and to the store partners, because you're the face of the company to them. Part of your job metrics (at least when I was there) pertained to customer satisfaction, and management didn't seem to care enough to filter out reviews that were mad about something that didn't pertain to the agent interaction. The company fails you and then blames you for it. - Little to no leadership. They put people in leadership positions who had no business being there. We needed qualified managers who understood the ins and outs of managing teams and a department, not mean girls who only wanted the status of being a manager but didn't want to do the actual job. - Toxic work environment. The people in middle management created a very toxic environment in which there was a lot of punishment handed down for arbitrary offenses, and nobody felt comfortable working there. - No job security. Management would make up problems or blame you for things outside of your control so they would have an excuse to fire you. - Rampant retaliation. If you pissed someone off you could find yourself being scheduled for less than the minimum threshold to qualify for insurance. - No investment in employees. They want all of you, but only as you are. You're not going to learn anything new or gain any new skills at this job. - No room for growth. Don't expect your supervisors to acknowledge your skills or any good things you do. You will not get a raise, you will not move up. You will stay put, and eventually, you will become so burned out that you won't have the mental capacity to even look for a new job. - No work/life balance. The comments about availability are true. You're expected to give 50+ hours but you don't get scheduled for 40. You can't do things like take time for your daughter's ballet recital or even go to the dentist because you might get scheduled for that time, and you won't find anyone else to swap with. If you can't tell by now, Minibar was and still seems to be a very dishonest company, which is disappointing. It could have been great. I don't think there's anything salvageable here. If you're reading this as a potential applicant, move on. If you're reading this as an overworked employee who doesn't get paid enough to respond to anonymous complaints online, I really hope you find something better soon.

Pros

Great coworkers. Flexible hours. Not a difficult job

Cons

So poorly managed. Management never checks in, unless there is something negative to say. Nothing is properly communicated to the staff, but your are expected to know what is going on. I was hospitalized for an emergency situation and required some days off. I typed out the days I needed. They scheduled me and said they presumed it was a typo. I was then let go for an unknown reason.
