Pros

Quiet town, not much traffic but sufficient amenities for dining, shopping, etcetera. People are polite. Nice campus. Good medical care in the area. Good benefits.

Cons

Insular community, very hard to break in for someone who is not from the area or the Midwest. "Minnesota Ice" mentality. Not much to do in town. Nearest city 2 hours away and not very exciting. A lot of political nonsense within the campus.

Pros

Once established in the 'system' co-workers and other employees will support you and have your back. For the most part everyone is very friendly and happy to lend a helping hand.

Cons

The University itself and employees have quite the fragile egos. No one likes to stir the pot or hear the truth for that matter. If you are ok with routine and remaining mediocre/status quo, this is a great place for you and you will honestly love it and fit right in. Personally, not for me.
