I worked at MinterEllison full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Only gym membership. That’s all

    Cons

    - Your main value as an EA is to run personal errands like getting coffee and filling up water bottles - no valuable legal work to assist with - was texted at 7am telling me to come in urgently. No please or thank you. - spoken down to like dirt. - degrading work - silos between lawyers and non law staff - bad attitudes and egos - Catty and cliquey HR team. - their values are fake and are only targeted to lawyers. - no clear career progression for EAs

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at MinterEllison full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good initiatives to get involved in, culture is fairly ok and better than some firms I have worked at.

    Cons

There is little to no career progression, no bonuses and pay rises are minuscule, very high amount of support staff turnover, lawyers are allowed to do whatever they want because they "bring the dollars in" but support staff get dragged over the coals for minor mistakes. I wish that support staff were more valued at MinterEllison and the recognition put in for the hard work we do to keep many different personalities happy.
