Pros

Great coworkers, pretty cool office space, flexible hours and vacation.

Cons

Very unorganized roles, not much transparency from upper management. A TON of turnover of employees and clients (that should be a sign to hesitant about working here..) In fact, the only employees that don't turnover are the partners and their friends who have worked there from the very beginning. Workload is very heavy with very little feedback on whether or not you're in good standing. It's one of those companies where you will always feel a bit on edge about your position. Don't expect regular reviews or feedback. When the company struggles or loses accounts, upper management immediately just begins pointing fingers at their employees and not the product or the actual issue at cause. Very limited (practically non-existent) room for growth or advancement. Pretty disappointing place to work, definitely not inspiring like you'd expect a start up to be.

At least you'll be making money, but paychecks are always late.

Cons

There's more drama here than a high school

At AddShoppers we greatly value all of our employees and take their feedback very seriously. This is the first time we've had any complaints regarding paycheck timing so our COO verified that all of our paychecks are timely and there have been no issues reported by active employees. As a growing technology company we realize that our employees are an incredibly valuable asset and treat them as such. We always strive to live up to our company motto of "Be a great human." However, we realize not all relationships are great and unfortunately have to part ways when there is not a long-term cultural fit. Best of luck in the future!

Pros

I literally cannot think of a single pro. I'm sorry. I tried. No benefits or perks - no parking, no bonuses, no growth path. There was a coffee pot that we would pay out of pocket to fill. We were on a spending freeze for the majority of Q3 and did not even have paper towels while founder went on a two week trip to Europe.

Cons

These positive reviews were written by founders/directors. Constant turnover rate, low pay, very cliquish in spite of small size of team. For the sake of having to coexist peacefully we would force ourselves to hang out and founders would not even show up for that. Mandatory team hangouts were divided and awkward and mostly silent. There were 15 of us. 9 have left in the past year. The founders are smart and created a great product, but are incapable of creating a culture of equal caliber. Whenever we would complain about anything the very hostile response was "we're a tech start-up" which makes no sense because tech start ups are known for their innovation, their equality in ownership, and perks/benefits to offset the risk of working for a start up in the first place. This is a boys club and a lot of highly qualified talent has walked out the door because of the appalling managerial skills (or total lack thereof). There is no HR department. An external team was hired, however they were unresponsive to inquiries or requests. CEO isn't a bad person but is a terrible leader. The fact that they've had to move back to their shared office space at Packard Place doesn't seem like a big step forward.
