    I worked at Mission Australia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Wonderful team environment, passionate people, dedicated staff, fun office, people who were really inspired by what the work they were doing, wonderful workplace flexibility, and management who are genuinely and incredibly supportive of staff going back to Uni, taking time off to spend time with kids, see them win awards at school, very family friendly environment and focused on work/life balance

    Cons

    Limited opportunity to progress, seemingly a lot of money (in a place that had very limited budgets) spent on training for middle management while other staff were often denied small training requests, general career stagnation, lower pay than other industries

    Advice to Management

    Such a wonderful organisation in so many ways and your staff are so engaged in so many ways, encourage the staff you have to progress through their careers more and encourage them to excel

    Great work culture - people who are passionate about what they do, have diverse skills, and want to work together Rewarding to work for a organisation that is making a difference MA invests in IT systems, training, and management processes to support staff to do their jobs. Flexible hours and support to have a life outside work

    Pros

    Great team, non for profit workplace and salary sacrifice which was good for staff. Challenging but rewarding work when you saw results of clients gaining employment

    Cons

    Management decisions weren't great and the structure needed some improvments to run smoothly. All in all though a good employer

    -great people -great middle management, communicated with the team effectively despite senior management going through a lot of changes and problems -flexible working environment -enjoyable work

    Cons

    -not much to complain about. Cons were very minor issues. -not many opportunities to advance in career
