Honestly, it's terrible.

Pros

Flexible schedule. You get to work with individuals in need and the job can be rewarding.

Cons

I can't think of a worse work culture than Missions. Everything is completely outdated as far as processes go. They recently went from paper to online documentation...It's 2023. The management is quick to shame you instead of actually training you. The pay is poor. I would say it's a great side job for extra cash and experience but I would never have a career here. The work culture is toxic and quick to blame/shame. Most people have worked there forever and so they are not friendly to new staff and do not give new staff a chance unless you meet their "expectations". Constantly felt like I was being judged by my coworkers despite having minimal training and support. Also, since the staff have worked there forever they have major compassion fatigue and are not warm or kind to clients. No trauma-informed training and no care about DEI initiatives. I literally could not wait to quit this place.
