Reliable salary, but culture hampers operations
Pros
salary on time, home office days avaiilable. That would be it.
Cons
At first, the company's difficulties appeared to be the normal growing pains of a new organization. Over time, however, it became evident that many problems were rooted in outdated policies and legacy technologies that management was unwilling to change. Despite their long-standing use at the headquarters in Japan, these approaches proved ineffective in the European branch, and little effort was made to adapt them to local conditions. A significant challenge was the quality of leadership and decision-making. Many management positions appeared to be filled based on availability rather than relevant expertise, which often resulted in a lack of ownership and frequent shifting of responsibility between departments and individuals. As a consequence, problems were rarely addressed at their root cause. Instead, the focus was often on maintaining the status quo and avoiding risk. While this approach may have provided short-term stability, it discouraged necessary improvements and made larger organizational changes difficult to implement. Over time, this culture contributed to persistent production issues and prevented the organization from effectively addressing long-standing operational problems.
