High turnover, with good reason

Pros

Foundations team is strong and genuinely makes life easier for everybody. That said many have left already and a few are itching to leave

Cons

Might be the worst place I've ever worked. Hiring process is bad so talent is hit-or-miss, onboarding is terrible so the talent is frequently lost, growth is sink or swim so there's been a lot of attrition. Requirements are frequently improperly gathered and communicated. Work gets re-worked all the time and yet leadership and long-time contributors think they're moving so fast. A lot of ego going around and it produces poor decisions. They're in a competitive space right now, there might not enough money to go around to make the effort required to grow worth it to the individual SWE.

Opportunity to work on systems moving billions of dollars. Inviting office space. Free Doordash encourages team lunches rather than eating at your desk. Pockets of smart, dedicated, optimistic people.

Cons

The company has gone through multiple cycles of preaching visionary new product lines, struggling to find product market fit, and shifting the consequences to employees via layoffs. Morale is suffering as a result, and career opportunity is diminishing for those not working on the current vision, with other teams being put into maintenance mode. The company shifted to a top-down leadership style in an attempt to focus the teams, but it's resulted in a "my way or the highway" thought process, stifling creativity and career growth.
