Pros
tasks usually don't have deadlines, so you pretty much work stress free.
Cons
no clear evaluation process for salary increases. Even if you are Senior, who discusses daily with other people, puts effort to make everyone happy, if your TL doesn't impress one person (the one who decides your salary), you won't get a raise. task requirements/deadlines/code-quality are very often either very vague described or not mentioned and you have to spend a lot of time with the QA/PM/TL to discuss how you should focus your time, and if you spend too much you get into trouble (they will bring it up at your next review that you lost focus or they had different expectations for that task)
