Good place to work, not great compensation

Pros

Good and skilled coworkers. Time given for personal development. Employees are treated well.

Cons

Projects are not very interesting. The environment is the "open floor plan" where everyone sits 4 feet from their coworker, at a table with very little workspace. They are mostly a Ruby shop.

Pros

I enjoy coming to work. The people I work with are smart and care about quality. Our teams work well together and the owners are responsive to requests.

Cons

The nature of a consulting business can be tough at times because we don't always get to make our own decisions and changing projects can be challenging. It's a good tradeoff to the monotony always working on the same thing or the risk of a startup.

- Great WLB. Unlimited PTO, no pressure to work overtime. - The people working there are really nice and always open to help. - Catered lunches 2 times a week. - Dog friendly office! - It's a consultancy, so you will never be stuck on a certain tech stack (varies per project). You will learn a lot at this company.

Cons

- Compensation should be 5-10k higher for junior engineers. - Some projects can be really difficult.
