Momentum's June layoffs were difficult for the organization, but even more so for those who lost their jobs as a result. First and most importantly, we are pleased to know that all of our former team members impacted by the layoffs have found job opportunities elsewhere. In hindsight, each may offer different opinions on how jobs may have been saved. However, the high inflationary environment, mixed with underperforming events, led to tough decisions once the financial bleeding was going to impact our ability to make payroll. Unfortunately, the cuts were necessary to allow Momentum to continue on as an organization, refocusing on growth in the trending events in our portfolio.

Thank you for sharing this. The disconnect and lack of communication you experienced are exactly the kinds of issues that led to Momentum's leadership transition in June 2024. Since then, we've made meaningful changes to how we lead — focused on clarity, accountability, and creating an environment where people feel heard. We're sorry your time here didn't reflect that.
