      Pros

      My immediate boss was wonderful, and was flexible and understanding of my schedule. It was an easy job without a lot of stress.

      Cons

      You can be the best, hardest worker and you're still going nowhere in the system unless you have a degree in library sciences. Upper management also plays favorites, for both people and departments. If you're in a department they don't like, you definitely know it. As a part time worker, I made minimum wage, and they NEVER give raises to those types of workers. You'll make more money at McDonald's.

      Great for high school/college students looking for work. Perfect first job.

      Pros

      laid back atmosphere (it's a library, c'mon), very nice management who listen and go out of their way to accommodate, flexible hours, and feels very homely. Since it's mostly middle-age women working their, it's like a big family of moms!

      Cons

      Don't expect to get promoted or handle much responsibility being a part-time student assistant as I was so for those looking to beef up their resume, there's not much to brag about or stands out.
