I have been working at Moogsoft full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They have a clear vision for how to evolve and grow Inspiring leadership Great people who care and are friendly without taking things too seriously The product is incredibly relevant and with Express the game is changing, it’s really exciting I have no complaints so far, they have handled the COVID situation very well and supported everyone who is now fully remote

    Cons

None that I can think of at this time

I have been working at Moogsoft full-time

    Pros

Many great people that have become friends. Promising technology.

    Cons

Cycles of Layoffs: Several times over the last few years, management gone on a hiring spree only to do significant layoffs several months later. Often letting go of the people they just hired. Unhappy customers: the product takes forever to go live and does not live up to what was promised to customers. This has led to a significant churn problem. Too many customers are unhappy and leaving. Feeling of a sinking ship: many key people have left in the last few months. Many more are looking for the door, including high level management.

    I worked at Moogsoft full-time

    Pros

    - Formerly a market leading product - Great logos and customer base - Interesting technical challenges, but has lead of overcomplication

    Cons

    - Feels like an environment where it's about who you know rather than what you know - Product is clunky and riddled with tech debt - Poor leadership, making handbrake turns with lack of foresight - Lack of diversity and regressive, exclusive culture

I have been working at Moogsoft full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The product is groundbreaking and market leading. Company culture is fun, with lots of nice benefits like massages, catered meals, table tennis, table football etc. The people are mostly great.

    Cons

    1) During the release phase, all scrum processes and principles are abandoned in favour of some sort of management totalitarianism. It's a frustrating mess that is also counter productive. 2) There's serious lack of quality control in the product. Many features are either unfinished, unreliable, or have bad UX. Either this is a legacy issue, or something is seriously inhibiting engineers' ability to produce quality work. Probably both. 3) The top level priorities for the company are ever-shifting, resulting in wasted work, inefficiency, and frustration. 4) Cycle of mass hiring followed by redundancies... This is the reason that I cannot recommend what is otherwise a great company to work for. Sure redundancies happen - it's a part of working life - but it's a recurrent cycle at the company, meaning nobody's job is really secure, and everybody should consider themselves expendable.

I have been working at Moogsoft full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have worked at Moogsoft for 7 months. Today I can’t be more content with my decision. The employees and top management are some of the best in the field. This is one of best marketing departments I have ever worked at. My coworkers are genuinely talented and kind, and my boss, COO is the best! Experienced and a remarkable leader contrary to some of the negative reviews. Ideas are well received and one gets to own their field of expertise with no micro-management, at least in my department. There’s a supportive culture with positive work environment, providing a good work-life balance. I feel that the leaders and executives have the best interest of their customers, and the employees at heart. They truly care for their employees. We were encouraged to explore the remote work options well before the local authorities enforced the shelter-in-place order during the Coronavirus crisis. This was on par with some or few of the large organizations that had opened this option up to their employees. The company always appreciates and recognizes the well deserving employees. Everyone including the C level executives give credit where it is due (something that is basic which unfortunately I missed at some of my previous stints). I can’t say enough good things about the remarkable leadership in this company. There's opportunities within the company for career growth— encouraging internal transfers and personal career growth. There’s also some amazing perks including snacks, weekly catered lunch, monthly catered breakfast and monthly happy hours!

    Cons

None that I can think of!

I have been working at Moogsoft

    Pros

Best reason to work here. Fantastic product, great people. Best Onboarding experience I’ve ever had. Even though we’re in the midst of a very chaotic time, good systems and processes, as well as people who care and pay attention to details, made joining the herd efficient and pleasant.

    Cons

It’s a startup. This isn’t really a con. It’s one of the reasons I was interested in Moogsoft. Lots of opportunity for people who want to contribute and make a difference

    Pros

People are hard working, supportive and kind You feel appreciated and get recognized for good work Inspiring leadership The product is a great product Great training and learning opportunities available for all Lots of opportunities for growth

    Cons

Feels like a start up in the sense that it can be unorganized and chaotic Product is very complicated Large turnover lately, seems like people are always getting let go and it's not always known why (though sometimes it's obvious why) Certain departments work much harder than others

I worked at Moogsoft full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-talented engineers who can be thrown a problem and deliver quickly -you will work with modern tech and unexplored problems -teammates who are busy but will drop everything to help you -small enough to get your ideas out if you’ve proven yourself -some really nice people who you can go out with and call friends -Stu was a good manager

    Cons

-can be overwhelming if you have no previous experience -some unpleasant people, but you can ignore them if you want :) -IC’s are expected to code and shut up because there are too many people with ideas -culture is having a slow death -testing your code can be a HUGE pain because things change so quickly

I have been working at Moogsoft full-time

    Pros

Great talent that are willing to help. The COO was mentioned in a lot of negative reviews, but he is one of the few that made progressive change in a timely matter.

    Cons

    1. The product is hard to configure and maintain there are not enough doers and more sayers than needed. At one project there were a mix of 3 projects managers and Technical account managers then one implementer who is probably assigned to 2-3 more projects, so you can imagine the additional overhead a single person has to deal with especially on the services side. 2. You can see a lot of people in the US work 12 hrs + per day 3. Focus on management way more than finding talent to make everyone succeed. At a point there were 5+ senior directors where some only had one direct report (that is currently being corrected now, but we can get into this trend because it happened before) 4. Politics can have a significant role in the company perhaps growing pains and bringing in people that brought that with them 5. A lot of people are burnt out
