Ridiculously high turnover of staff
Pros
They pay on time, unless you leave, then expect to wait 10 weeks and they'll dock it for any reason they can think of. Good training in the first week. Yearly pay review, mine increased all of £20 per year 😨
Cons
They'll talk about how to treat the customer fairly but train you how to politely back them into a corner. Lack of ongoing training. Very basic salary and the bonus is now only really achievable if you do 20+ hours of overtime or move departments. You'll work in a pig pen style cubicle. Everything's painted various shades of blue and the open plan office space will undoubtedly cause noise related headaches within the first few weeks. Managerial vagueness throughout, stemming from supervisors who are constantly pushing you to collect collect collect more money even if people are unsure if they even owe the money. Higher managers literally only care about the figures on their screen as that's all their bonus based on. And higher still are the owners offspring so good luck progressing past being just a glorified collections agent. Audits are a joke at best, "you deviated from the script so you fail" regardless of the sensitive nature of the call. Severe lack of car parking spaces on site so be prepared to get ticketed. Coffee machine isn't free or even subsidised. Staff room is uncomfortably small and always dirty. Men's toilets are a disgrace, there's even bogies smeared across the walls on one site. HR will ignore basic requests and holiday notices can and will be ignored heavily.
