Pros

* Great people to work with (but exec) * Good Sallary * Autonomy to do pretty much anything you want

* Worst executive I ever have worked for. The exec have syndom of Midas, they need to touch in literally everything to be approved, from team names to engineering decisions (and isn't only the CTO , random people from exec too). * Everything for yesterday. Basically here is literally everything for yesterday, and when this problem is raised the CEO replies "If it's for yesterday it is because should be done yesterday" so as you can see this culture come from the very top and isn't different when get to CTO, CFO, CPO or any other C on the executive. * Almost no Perks. We took years to get the healthy ensurance approved, and that's it, it's all we have so far and they don't show any interest on add or change anything. * They hire smart people to say to them what to do. Basically they don't care about your speciallity or if you want to improve their platform, they want you on the place they put you, otherwise you're not a good fit. * T-shirt comany. Business is so lost that CEO first says that they're platform company but when things get ugly they are basically a feature machine and start saying that they're a T-Shirt company, so, if you are a proactive person which like to improve things or prioritise tech things, forget.

Pros

Honestly, the team (minus the 3 founders) were amazing and so much fun. We all became friends and bonded in such a short time. The best people. The worst founders. The company also lies a lot about its numbers. A LOT.

Cons

I can't begin to tell you how terrible this business is. The founders lie to you all the time, they pitch you against eachother and they constantly put you down. No work is ever good enough here and it's terrible watching as your fellow employees get fired for working their butts off. If you're thinkinng about working here then please don't even apply.

- Good team spirit and vibe in the Lisbon office - Salary on the market range

Cons

- Some Guru’s and rockstars atitude within the tech team and that prevents constructive discussions and group decisions because some people feel that they are not listen - Clear demotivation from teams and no clear action points to solve - Feature development over Engineering / Product Discovery all the time - No alignment across teams, leadership and management - Insane deadlines for projects and later they die - No budget for personal development, no review cycle - Lack of trust from some teams into upper management - Moteefe sells ideas that are fake. I was told that we were going to do micro services in the interview and they are not even close to that (seems forbidden word). - No autonomy within the teams, we’re just told what to do - One year to receive the health insurance and we got only updates when we spoke about that - The company business model relies on tech but there isn't a tech culture - Engineering team does not have time to build well designed solutions - The system itself is not scalable and the engineering team does not get time to slowly start to a redesign or re-architecture.

Dear ex-colleague Thank you for taking the time out to share your feedback with us—Abbas here, the new People Director. We probably did not get a chance to meet as I have only just joined the business. I appreciate all forms of feedback, whether it be informally, confidentially, or anonymously. So this is an open invitation for all ex-colleagues, current employees and candidates going through the interview process to get in touch with me directly if they want to share anything that will make Moteefe a better place to work, and ultimately serve our customers. I will address each of the points you have raised with the relevant manager and teams over the coming weeks as I look to build out the people agenda in the business. I cannot comment on the specifics of the experience that you encountered during your time with us, but I would like to be clear on my philosophy that will be impressed upon the business: • We are creating a clear and robust communication and engagement strategy. This strategy will focus on colleagues informing colleagues, keeping them motivated and engaged through appropriate forums. Alongside this, we are introducing a range of engagement activities. • We are changing the way that we recognise and reward our colleagues. This new program will require detailed analysis, as the benefits that one person may want could well be very different from those desired by others. The design of this initiative will focus on creating and promoting good behaviours that align with our values and that create the right environment for everybody to flourish truly. • Our talent is at the heart of what we do and who we are. To this point, talent needs to be assessed and have the opportunity to develop themselves and their careers at Moteefe. • Underpinning all of this is a great business strategy that is changing as we evolve. However, I can confirm that with the best intentions, we are all committed to making the business a great success. As with any process of change, embedding these initiatives will take time and require help from all corners of the organisation. I hope that it is evident from my detailed reply to your message that I along with the rest of the executive team are wholly committed to making Moteefe a great place to progress the professional careers of our employees. As a young and growing organisation, we are going to make mistakes. We have made some here. However, I hope you will acknowledge that the business is on a journey and that it is committed to making changes, as I have outlined above. We hope that you will look back on your time with the business and remember some of the good things you experienced. We would love to welcome you back one day. Or at least count you as a friendly fan, cheering us on from the sidelines; knowing that you have made a difference to the 120 employees (and growing), hundreds of people that work with us through our channel partnerships and the hundreds of thousands of customers we serve every year.
