Pros

The people here are great to work with, and the products we support serve an extremely meaningful purpose. The ERGs here, known as Business Councils, are also increasingly doing a better job of creating collaborative programming and events, promoting diversity, and offering ways for employees to hold leadership positions, gain visibility, and get involved.

Cons

More collaboration/connection of employees between the various sites would be great.

Pros

-Looks AMAZING on your resume for other jobs -Easy once you get the hang of it. -Great for people who are either doing level 1 rolls or in some sort of CSO roll that wants to be paid more. -This is the perfect roll for Boomers that are saving up for retirement.

Cons

-NOTHING but proprietary technology, all that study you've been through completing your tech related degree/certifications is a complete waste and you won't use any of it. So if you do end up leaving, you'll be back to square one -They say they follow ITIL procedures but lack knowledge base management. -Try not to ask many questions after orientation, managers who have been there for 5+ years will begin to look down on you for asking questions and you'd think you could find the answer in white papers/knowledge base documents but nothing there, just endless frustration . -Four 12 hour shifts, two day shifts (6am - 6pm) and two nights (6pm - 6am)back to back , this just destroys any sleep pattern you have, but you'll be able to nap on the night shifts with all of the managers, everyone in the office sleep deprived anyway, its a badge of honor among the team. -Mind numbing, responding to endless emails while managing providing troubleshooting steps over the phone for 12 hours a day. 30 minuet breaks are not enough, from the office stigma will you will be eating at your desk while answering emails. -Forget any flexibility, you will be in a 10x6 meter room with no natural light with the same 4 people for 50 hours a week minimum. -I became deficient in vitamin D. -If you want to be more than just a phone monkey, then come in for 6 to 12 months MAX, then leave.
