MSU: Where non-profit means 'trying to make a profit'

Pros
At one time, they enabled thousands of individuals to complete their educational goals. MSU was a small university with a diverse faculty.
Cons
Around 2009, newer management styles came in, & everything was all about 'get them enrolled' despite individual readiness, financial ability, and/or long term goals. They had online options that started well-intended, that all to quickly turned into a 'money making machine.' Career training (particularly law enforcement) suddenly counted as college credit....and the few that had no problem abusing the system capitalized on this, demanding more credit for less 'education' and MSU obliged.

Pros
The absolute best reason about working for MSU was the interaction with the students. I am a people person, problem solver, and multitasker and this job offered all that I loved.
Cons
The only con that I could possibly think of was the closure of the University.
