Pros

Working with the kids was great, I loved them all.

Cons

However, don't point out anything bad about your company or they'll fire you out of retaliation. The overall atmosphere sucked, it felt like I was being pushed out from the beginning, it was highschool mean girl bullying all around. But don't say anything about their favorites or they'll punish you, they'll put you on "Success Plans" even though they believe “youd never do what they're saying” the supervisors don't offer support, they don't tell you what your doing wrong or how to improve. If you work with a kid you've never worked with before, they just throw you into it without discussing the kid and how to work with them. Supervisors can't take criticism, you explain that you feel the place is toxic and suddenly their firing you.

Pros

The clients were amazing, and the hours were nice.

Cons

There is a lack of overall understanding of ABA program development and application. There was a gross lack of direct support and ethically guided supervision, resulting in mediocre therapy implementation. The lack of actual structure stems from the owner, and spreads everyone underneath too thin. Rather than producing quality services, BCBAs are constantly told to find more clients without actually providing proper intake processes and training once onboarded. Multiple times clinicians were left to deal with high-intensity behaviors with nearly no direct support from the BCBA. It would take a few months for new behavior techs to receive Safety Care training, despite the level of intensity the clients exhibited. BACB code was loosely followed. The clinic operated out of its scope and took advantage of its employees, offering inadequate pay for the level of responsibility. If clinicians spoke up about concerns or provided feedback, HR was quick to remind them that WV is an at-will state, and your position can be terminated at any time

Pros

I’m unsure of any pros

Cons

Communication was poor and severely lacking. I was never informed of changes until the absolute last second. There was also little support offered when there were difficult times. I was told to smile through it and not take it personal, especially when being screamed and yelled at by parents. I was also terminated without any warning for an issue I was told was greatly improved just prior. Lastly, I was never given the hours I was promised when I was hired despite my asking repeatedly.
