Pros

Moving Brands once was an amazing place to work full of talented creatives, fantastic culture and great clients

Cons

The founders and board of directors have destroyed the business through greed, narcissism and total incompetence. Moving Brands was a brilliant agency until the Board fired the CEO and CBO and the chairman stepped back into the day to day along with an external “business advisor” who then became a director. This decision resulted in an employment tribunal which Moving Brands lost and then meant liquidating part of the business. They have funnelled all the money out of the business to maintain their excessive lifestyles. They constantly lied and misled the team. Don’t be fooled when they say they care about people, that they put people first or that they look after their people. It is all lies. They look after themselves only. The founders have sat by and allowed the newest member of the Board bully, belittle and berate countless members of the team. It is now a sorry excuse of a business, limping along and acting as if it isn’t in the gutter.

Moving in all the wrong ways

Pros

Incredible talent (that has since left the dying business) Incredible clients (some of which naively still see Moving Brands as a decent business)

Cons

Founders treated the business as a revenue stream and nothing else. Lack of integrity and honesty with little regard for the talent that were putting their blood, sweat and tears into the business. Poorly manage insolvency that left many people financially ruined. A dilapidated studio in Shoreditch with broken toilet seats and poor heating - can't even rent it out as it would fail health an safety!

Pros

• Great for Interns and Young Designers: Moving Brands offers valuable opportunities for interns and young designers to work on a variety of projects, gaining diverse experience. This exposure is excellent for building a strong portfolio. • Career Growth Through Recognition: The agency is well-known in the industry, making it a notable name to have on your resume. Working here can open doors and make it easier to apply for jobs elsewhere due to the brand’s reputation.

Cons

• Shift in Company Values: There has been a noticeable change from the previous people-first culture. The agency used to focus on team support and helping individuals enhance their performance based on personal goals. Now, if employees don’t meet specific expectations, there seems to be less support, and managers may escalate issues to HR, sometimes involving unrelated concerns. This has created a perception that there is no true safe space. • Transparency Issues: Concerns about hidden discussions and non-transparent decision-making have led to trust issues among team members. • Management and Work-Life Balance: Management challenges and high workload expectations can lead to long hours and impact work-life balance. • Limited Advancement: While great for gaining experience, long-term career growth within the company may be limited.
