Pros

I did not stay with the company long enough to identify any positives.

Cons

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Moxie Pest Control deserves to be shared. I was hired, completed four days of work, and was then verbally terminated by April Nygren on the 4th day, 1hour into my shift. Based on my recollection, the only explanation I was given was something along the lines of me not "culturally fitting in." At first, I thought I had misheard what she said. I asked her to clarify and elaborate on what she meant, but she declined to provide any specific explanation. Instead, she explained that because I was still within my probationary period, I could be terminated for any reason. I asked multiple times for context behind the termination. I wanted to know if there was an issue with my performance, attendance, communication, or anything I could improve. I never received a clearer explanation beyond the statement that I didn't "culturally fit." As an employee, that's one of the most confusing and discouraging things you can hear. If someone truly isn't the right fit, at least have enough respect to explain why. Give employees honest, constructive feedback instead of relying on vague corporate language that can come across as dismissive, confusing, and even offensive. Speaking only from my own experience and perspective, as a Black woman from South Central Los Angeles who presents herself in a way that reflects her own culture and identity, hearing that I did not "culturally fit in" without any further explanation was deeply unsettling. I can't tell anyone why the company made that decision, but I can share how it felt to personally experience it. Whether you're considering working for this company or hiring them for services, I encourage you to take a close look at their values and ask yourself what "cultural fit" means to them. I would hate for another employee to be told they don't "culturally fit in" without ever being given a meaningful explanation, just as I was. If you're considering working here, I encourage you to ask questions about what "cultural fit" means before accepting a position. If you're considering hiring this company for pest control services, I also encourage you to carefully review their values and service offerings before making a decision. Every employee deserves to know how they're being evaluated and to receive honest, specific feedback if there is a problem. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

This job is horrible. They are all about customer service now ever since they lost soo many customers last year. You would think they learned but nope! Customers are way dissatisfied

Pros

Easy work and laid back environment

Cons

Trainers dump leftover pesticides into customer lawns and management will only talk with them and would have put me under the trainer who doesn’t follow the sda guidelines or legal guidelines for its mangement, and as i was walking out and saying goodbye to the other new guys i tell him that i quit and he asked why and i said its illegal to dump pesticides into peoples lawns and he was like oh shoot we were doing that all day.
