Pros

Great people to work with wfh stipend remote work

Cons

management provides unclear direction, if any at all poor leadership laid off half the staff including all of HR and Sales (laid off HR and then made HR complete lay offs which is super crappy -- I am not in HR) Actively recruit people to come over within two weeks of laying off 1/2 the company not stable priorities shift every other day bc management changes their minds constantly Lack of Ownership - other teams will not own their roles and try to pass it off to other teams which makes it difficult to get work done

Hi, Thank you for your transparency about your experience at Mulberry. Earlier this year, our team went through a really difficult RIF earlier this year which impacted several of our friends and colleagues. This was brought about due to the evolution of our business to place more of an emphasis on delivering embedded product protection to consumers via our browser extension. It was a decision that we did not approach lightly, but was accelerated by the current macro-environment which necessitated that we consolidate and focus our resources on the best path for the business long-term. We know the RIF impacted everyone and made our best effort to support departing team members as they transitioned into new roles; however there is always room for us to improve. Your feedback is valuable. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts which we will use to improve our team dynamic, communication and culture. We wish you the best of luck in your next chapter, Chinedu Eleanya (CEO)

Pros

enjoyed my colleagues, good base salary

Cons

fired half the company with zero notice, and actually brought on several new hires in the last month or so before surprise mid week morning email from the CE-Faux. What a disingenuous phony he is...zero regard for employees, and only two weeks severance.

Pros

New York. Remote Work. Good tech stack.

Cons

A product that NOBODY wants or needs. Truly. Nobody. Since leaving Mulberry I haven't thought of ONE instance where I would use the product AND it's supposed to be for consumers. And as a customer myself, I tried USING the warranty I bought from them and they made it very difficult to do so. There's no passion at Mulberry because the product makes NO sense and no one needs it. There are few things worse then going to work everyday to push something that adds no value to the world you're in. The CEO also doesn't deserve anyone's labor, time, or loyalty. He screwed a lot of people out of jobs this year by hiring a number of them and laying them off only weeks later. People matter. And you shouldn't have them forgo great opportunities to fulfill your little experiments.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience! This product certainly isn't for everyone, but there is a big opportunity for us to build something new here. It will take time, and still might be meant for a different crop of consumers. We do have a sizable user base already and we're just getting started! While the layoff last year was tough - not an easy or pleasant decision, and we had to say goodbye to great teammates - it was a necessary one given the market environment and how it's allowed us to focus since then. I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to the team, and hope you've found a role and company you enjoy.
