Pros

I was fortunate to with very nice people who all want to help teach the new EMTs things outside of what is learned in class. Another perk is that you get to stay at the main garage during the day when you are not on a call, so you will never be stationed in a rig parked near a hospital. There is a good amount of downtime so that people who are taking classes on top of working are able to keep up with their homework.

Cons

The pay is low. However, it is unfortunately pretty standard for what people make anywhere as an EMT. Occasionally an employee here and there has a bad attitude which is tolerable for management but absolutely miserable for whoever their partner is.

Pros

Good place to start as a new EMT to learn and become comfortable with basic skills. I learned different techniques to communicating with patients and nurses. Flexible schedule and overtime opportunities.

Cons

I haven't had any negative events with the company.
