Pros

Pay is well over minimum wage.

Cons

Night before changes to schedules. You will not have shifts if people are not signed up so you are not promised consistent pay. You also have to paint paintings that sometimes take several hours to create but only get paid $25 for each masterpiece painting no matter how long it takes to complete. There are also unrealistic painting sessions that cause a very stressful teaching experience.

Pros

It's fun interacting with your coworkers and the attendees. Usually an upbeat atmosphere. If you need to ask someone else to take your shift, usually there is someone eager to take it. Good pay rate, as long as you get the hours.

Cons

No guaranteed shifts, if you don't have enough sign-ups you are expected to "cut" yourself from a shift. So, you set aside time for working... when you might not actually get to work and make money. Feels more like a starter job than a life-long career (unless you are one of the two full-time employees). Unfortunately, in this job market, people who need careers can't get hired into them, and are stuck in limbo working 2 or 3 part-time jobs
