Pros
You have the opportunity to be yourself. People that you work with are like family and care about you.
Cons
1. Too much turnover from the ground up. There were too many failed projects due to factors out of our control (bad CRM data, failing integrations to other systems, stagnant software that hasn’t been tested/integrated), which made several members of upper management quit. Salespeople fight an uphill battle they can’t win due to lack of support. If you’re a new hire, implement any systems or software you need to as a resume booster, then move to a better opportunity in a year or so. 2. The security industry is failing, and the company’s business model fails to adopt. The company really only has two sources of revenue: acquisitions and their investors. They’ve failed to hit sales numbers over the past two years, and have not been cash flow positive. Growing organically has failed after multiple iterations. This should be a massive red flag for anyone looking to join the team. Meanwhile, competitors like Ring and Simplisafe can sell their systems nearly anywhere, which saves overhead. Unless they fail to adopt, they will continue to downsize and hire cheaper people/resources in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
