      Nice ownership, poor financial management

      Pros

      Everyone is friendly and hardworking.

      Cons

      Poor financial planning. Target revenue numbers missed in Q1, but the company still plowed forward with two acquisitions and didn’t try to manage expenses until it became “too late” to save jobs. The CEO callously suggested he was doing his part by no longer flying first class to Europe even though he was “entitled to it”. It felt really insensitive especially given that he was flying so much that he probably could have gotten free upgrades and saved the company buckets of money (and maybe some jobs).

      Lovely people select few not

      Pros

      Such lovely people work at this company both in the UK & USA. Pleasure to work with the majority. Excellent holiday days being 29 per year and get to leave early on Fridays in the summer months. The supporting functions really care and put the extra work in to get things completed

      Cons

      Too many process improvements at one time and not enough support on these from higher management: just expected to get the job done no questions. A few back stabbers certainly in the UK so one to be careful of. Training conducted for management regularly but higher up management such as the VP of the clinical trial team in the UK not using these skills. No development opportunities and the US as a site are cared for and thought of more than the UK. All new opportunities and service offerings always go there first. Hard to receive promotions for teams. Face fits culture.
