Pros

This is my third (upcoming) cycle working for NAEP. I adjust my work schedule every two years to do this. It is a very rewarding yet challenging job. I have had amazing support from an excellent supervisor and my team has always been very reliable. It is a great opportunity to network with other educators and learn new skills. Paid training/travel are a plus too.

Cons

It's only for two months but it is perfect for retirees.

Pros

It has been a pleasure to work for NAEP this year. They are exceptionally organized, have well trained me in every area of the testing process. A true TEAM environment.

Cons

The schools can be a bit uncooperative.

Pros

As a graduate student, I worked on a research project funded by NAEP, in which I administered tests, surveys, and semi-structured interviews from middle school students aimed at enhancing the quality of standardized tests for 8th grade students. I gained valuable skills in each of these areas and made good professional connections.

Cons

My participation in the project was limited to data collection.
