      Traumatizing Experience

      Pros

      Offices are near the beach and the working staff is A++.

      Cons

      CEO is a discreet and demoralizing bully who continuously undermines and micromanages his staff. So much so that over 90 employees were fired, laid off (30 code enforcement officers) or resigned during my 23 months there. The turnover rate is unbelievable, leaving the place in shambles every time someone has had enough abuse and leaves.

      The location is great. You can walk to the beach at lunch

      Cons

      The culture is toxic - incredibly high turnover due to abusive management. It's amazing this is happening anywhere, much less at a public agency.

      With the quarterly about-face changes, even experienced transit professionals were left adrift at times. And in the cross-hairs frequently for events beyond their control.
