Pros

Being a part of an organization that cares about individuals with developmental disabilities. Great work /life balance and an organization that truly cares about staff and individuals.

Cons

Can be a challenging industry but it is a very rewarding position and career knowing that you are a part of helping others.

Pros

I can't say how great this organization is. Such a wonderful mission, helping developmentally disabled individuals live as independently as possible. But from a career development perspective, it goes above and beyond. I started as an entry-level direct care professional and am now an assistant manager. I also have tuition reimbursement opportunities as well as a chance to get a bonus when I get my DSC certificate (paid for by the company). The recruiting team has been a really big help in all of that. And the staff at my program are the best. But ultimately we are here for the people we help, and that makes the job very rewarding.

Cons

When I first started I sometimes felt that we could use more training, but the company has done a very good job of providing more training to new hires, as well as staff like myself.
