Pros

Salary on time on last day of month

Cons

I was in sales with 15 years of experience. The team was supposed to be headed by a co-founder but rather my reporting was being done to 22 year old graduates who merely passed out from college a few months back with no experience at all. It was really silly. Every body is boss here trying to tell you how to work.

Pros

They'll probably pay you whatever you want. They got the money. If that's what you're looking for, you probably don't care much about anything else.

Cons

But if you care a little about your ethics, mental health, and adding value through your work - save yourself from this place. This isn't journalism. It doesn't want to be either. It's propaganda. You see, hate sells. And NEWJ does not want to be anything more than a salesman. They'll peddle hate content, fake narratives gift-wrapped under their cheerful India first fetishization. Blinded by privilege, not only is the management caste-blind and islamophobic, but it is also generally regressive and protects serial sexual predators after repeated and multiple complaints.

Pros

Salary is on time, that's it

Cons

I have worked at NEWJ previously, and I can honestly say it has been a frustrating and demoralizing experience. The office politics here are out of control. If you're not part of the "in" crowd or don't have the right connections, don't expect to get ahead, no matter how hard you work or how qualified you are. Favoritism is rampant, with promotions and perks handed out to a select few while the rest of us are left to pick up the slack. HR is a joke. They are unresponsive and unhelpful, more interested in protecting the company than addressing employee concerns. When issues are brought to their attention, they are often ignored or swept under the rug. There's no real support for employees, and it feels like HR exists just to tick a box rather than to provide any meaningful assistance. To make matters worse, the company changes its policies every month, seemingly just to make our lives more difficult. These changes are often poorly communicated and poorly thought out, leading to confusion and extra work for everyone. It's as if management has no idea what they're doing, and we're the ones who suffer for it. Overall, NEWJ is a toxic place to work. If you're looking for a job where you can advance based on your merits, where HR has your back, and where you can expect some stability and support, look elsewhere.
