My experience with this organisation was disappointing. As a manager, I was expected to lead without the support or authority needed to address ongoing issues. An employee with persistent behavioural concerns was repeatedly protected by senior leadership, making it difficult to resolve problems or maintain a stable environment. Over time, the expectations of my role became unclear, further undermining my ability to manage.
When I raised concerns, the response was defensive and at times hostile. The culture felt unhealthy, communication was inconsistent, and leadership did not address serious issues or provide a psychologically safe workplace. Staff also reported instances of their private workspaces being interfered with, adding to a sense of unease. These challenges affected my wellbeing. The organisation would benefit from meaningful cultural and leadership improvements.
