      Small Company With Closed Management

      Pros

      Good salary, contracts are awarded by government standards. They paid expenses without much of a problem. Staff easy to work with. 401k was a good program.

      Cons

      Closed minded, tried to reinvent Six Sigma and Lean methodology to set themselves apart from industry standards. Upper management education oriented not business professional oriented. Prefers ex-military to get government contracts. No bonuses, no commissions, health insurance extremely poor. Middle management authoritarian and closed minded. It is their way or the highway. Other consultants constantly complained to each other.

      Pros

      + Allows you the autonomy to get the job done. That means a lot to a consultant who is usually working on the road alone. + Salary was decent for me. +All of management is very open-minded and easy to work with.

      Cons

      - Bonuses were small and sometimes non-existent. - Commisions for follow on work work virtually non-existent as well. - Not much in the way of upward movement because the company is so small.
