Pros

I want to preface this review and state that the day to day individual team members and management that you will deal with with go above and beyond and will help get you through the tough days, the best part of NQX is the people. Having been employed for 17 years with NQX and recently moving on to another opportunity. I thought I would take some time to leave a recent review. NQX- Great company, that is slowly losing its core values and vision. When I started with this company 17 years ago, they saved approx 300 jobs in Nanaimo, BC by purchasing us from a company called NCO. In doing so we were onboarded into an amazing company, with great leadership, vision and culture with approx 500-700 employees. Over the 17 years, and in most recent, Nordia has experienced a large amount of growth with the purchase of Quantrics, globalization has lead to 4000+ employees. While this growth is amazing, since growing the company has begun to lose its face and its original vision statement of "Attract and retain our top talent, and that our people are our most important product" Slowly but surely after rising to the occasion during CVOID-19 and helping the business continue to operate at the level it did that allowed for that growth, we continued to see lay off's and decision's impacting us on shore while alot of the meaningful work was being shifted offshore. A lot of this is due to Bell Canada NQX's largest client wanting to save money, in turn Nordia having to take decisions that I am sure were not taken lightly. I go into this detail because I think it highlights well how much Nordia is there for their staff, the staff has been there for Nordia, but the ever growing disconnect between the people making the decisions and the people driving the work. Being at the company for 17 years I held a number of different titles, for 9 years I was the operations manager and led the retention team to many successful years and growth. Having been at the company for that time I made the decision to step down to an agent level to pursue school, and after further reflection realized my passion is coaching and motivating a group of agents. In the last 4 years I had been career pathing back into Nordia, holding an "acting" position during that time. With the most recent pressure and lay off's, the decision was made to eliminate my position and place me on the phones as an agent, with no scope in sight of potential upward movement. Why am I writing this? I was a top performing TL, 17 years experience, had delivered on countless projects and departments, rather then take the risk and secure my employment to assist with the "new" clients we are potentially bringing on, they were very clear there is no opportunity, there is no interest in actioning a bottom performing TL to make space for me. Why should this matter to you? If they aren't willing to maintain and protect a high caliber employee, what does that say for the people left managing the new clients? Over the last 1-2 years we have continually seen our top staff fired or laid off due to location, without taking into consideration the grander impact this is going to have on the buisness long term. We out performed ourselves working at home, but they would rather bring us back on site full time due to a lack of trust, rather than put actions in place to address the employee's who broke that trust for all of us. The Nanaimo Team managers, staff, agents are absolutely amazing, as are a majority of the managers and staff working at this company, I cannot sing their praises enough. My hope is someone, some where in NQX see's what's happening and takes action to correct it, there are a number of top performing long time staff members that deserve to be protected while the business takes the risk of growing itself
