Pros

This company was a successful company with an incredible culture until poor leadership took over and took the company from great to dead

Cons

Leadership after original owners sold the company was horrific. The new CEO is a poster child for an ego driven narcissist

Pros

I have been with NRS Media for over 5 years, since the take over and the significant investment poured into the company, NRS Media has moved to the next level. The current UK and CEE Managing Director is a truly inspiring figure with great management and leadership skills, both approachable and personable, he is someone I can 100% rely on for advice and support in situations I could be unfamiliar with. He brings the best out of my strengths and always provides constructive feedback on where to improve. His passion for the people is contagious and alongside our new CEO and COO is providing an impressive vision for the company moving forward. I'm really excited about where the NRS Media journey will take me in the next few years and will relish the opportunities that will be available on route.

Cons

Since the buy out the last 12 months has seen a period of huge transition and change for NRS which has caused some concerns and disruptions to employees as a whole. Though these times can be unsettling it is now clear we are in a much stronger position than ever before.

Pros

Bought into old concept of new business acquisition for media partners, it worked! Global Insights and Experience

Cons

New ownership does not understand media, relying on the wrong people for input New products introduced not working and not viable for clients, no value Too expensive, T's and C's too restrictive Do not look after their staff, bully culture FIFO - very high staff turnover Serious lack of good LEADERSHIP Serious lack of COMMUNICATION of strategy NRS Brand no longer credible in market, lot of damage done in past few years Company today is a mere speck of what it used to be - minimal staff, minimal clients, minimal reputation, minimal results - sad

Pros

You meet a lot of interesting people, colleagues and clients. This job enables great networking in the Media scene if you do it right. Possibilities for personal growth. Flexi-time and other options for greater work-life balance available to compensate for the time spent on the road (50-80% of time depending on your position). Great jobs for people who don't mind being away from home a lot.

Cons

Leadership totally lost. Loyalists rewarded, not the talent (so they walk out). Employees' good client relationships are not valued. Management has no courage when it comes to managing employees; totally lack in building relationships with them, and have no eye whatsoever for how to move the company forward. "Training" there is lots, but not always worthy of being called training. Work-life balance an issue if you have small children, unfortunately this is not always stressed enough at the time of recruitment.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your detailed review. We are pleased to hear your comments about the interesting colleagues and clients that our employees meet and network with. Although a number of our roles do require extensive travel, work-life balance is always a priority and we offer flex time (in the UK) as well as generous vacation allowances in the majority of our districts to help our employees relax after time spent out on the road. In order to ensure that talent is rewarded and that managers have the tools they need to support their employees, we have implemented new performance appraisal processes as well as incentive plans for employees and have also provided all managers with leadership training from one of the most well-recognized programs in the behavioural sciences industry. As we continue to work together, we are confident that these investments will facilitate management discussions and help to ensure our employees are recognized for their valuable contributions.
