Lots of wasted potential

Pros

There are growth opportunities if you're willing to wear many hats. Middle level management is really good and tries to make up for the mistakes upper management makes.

Cons

Upper management really needs management training. They are exhausting to deal with, and don't seem to appreciate anyone below the director level. There are a ton of very talented people who want to do a good job, one of them being my manager, but they are only ever acknowledged to be told they are doing something wrong. I have seen multiple members of the C-suite scream at people in open office areas, and belittle employees for the smallest thing. There is also a ton of micromanagement towards people who are very competent, who should just be trusted to do a good job rather than having constant oversight. The pay is below average for every position in the company, except for family members of the C-suite. Nutricost has the potential to be a great place to work, and middle management does their best under the circumstances, but the company will be held back until upper management treats people better.

Pros

Fast growing company with an exciting go getter culture.

Cons

Ownership is toxic and enjoys belittling employees and fixing things that aren't broken. Our department broke all kinds of KPI records, and saw phenomenal growth, despite this success ownership was not generous with raises and bonuses at the end of the year, and constantly felt the need to meddle with teams and employees that were high performing. Instead of praising high performers, I saw ownership chew them out at year end reviews for minor mistakes. Leadership even rejected requests to buy pizza for team members, citing they did a bad job, despite the company breaking all time revenue records. Turnover was extremely high due to the scenarios mentioned above. Everyone could see these issues as clear as day but would not bring them up to the C-Suite level as they did not want to bring a target on themselves.
