Good Work Experience, TERRIBLE Management

Pros

When I worked here most department heads were womxn of color and they are kind and helpful but currently unknown if they have found better opportunities elsewhere. Expect to learn a lot quickly as you will be asked to wear multiple hats and you will do more than all the hiring expectations they tell you upon interview/hiring. The product has good vision, unfortunately management and product execution will always be wasteful in every form physically and financially.

Cons

Abusive workload, toxic management. There is a consistent boys club built on the fragility of egotistical and insecure men and no one is held accountable, Human Resources Department will be unhelpful and biased if you attempt to disclose anything uncomfortable or unprofessional. For Manufacturing, Quality and R&D assist positions expect: last minute work changes/ "fires" to occur continuously because of inconsistent demands and schedules, to work and stay beyond appropriate work hours, to do exceedingly more than you're asked and sarcastically shamed when you make mistakes or even ask for help. Also, robots cannot replace the finesse and skills it takes to work on such a complex and sensitive device. This is a small "start up" company since 2000/2009 that did not launch their first product until 2019.. this company needs organization, stability and communication skills more than anything.

Pros

Some of the people I met at Nanomix were very nice to work with.

Cons

Upper management treats their employees as tools to accomplish demands. It is dehumanizing and demoralizing. If you speak up you will be put down with excuses about what goes into making small companies work. The employees who have worked at Nanomix for years seem to be threatened by new talent and also play a part in keeping employees in their places.
