Way outdated systems, everything is paper orientated. Expensive benefits. Emails to customers have to be reviewed by manager prior to sending. Lack of trust in employees to do what is expected, leading to lack of confidence from employees.
Friendly and accommodating colleagues. Orderly and comfortable offices, and good benefits for long-term employees. My bosses always respected me and were open to new ideas of how to do things, me being an underclassman in college at the time.
Cons
Almost no one my age (college), and the work was repetitive and not mentally stimulating or particularly conducive to learning new things, aside from how to do the work quicker. I had the impression that even those older than me and in more significant positions also were doing similarly repetitive work.
Friendly coworkers and management. For all the problems this place has, the people are genuinely nice and try their best.
Cons
Pay is horrible and everyone is extremely overworked. There seems to be no urgency to hire new employees even though current employees are dropping like flies. Those who stay behind are left with a mountain of work that will probably never get finished.
