      So much potential, such poor leadership

      Pros

      Good leave and health insurance benefits, meaningful mission and contribution to the United States and global nuclear security, good pay for non-STEM fields, security of federal employment.

      Cons

      Poor leadership via an Old Boys Club that does not do anymore than pay lip service to employee satisfaction, fairness to all employees (including legal compliance with whistleblower protections or equitable pay under Pay-for-Performance model used in lieu of GS Pay System), or contributions from women, minorities, or the disabled. Rigid management that employs military type leadership in a civilian agency to the detriment of morale for those that desire a modern workplace and value work/life balance.

      You will learn about critical national security missions and functions as well as the see some of our best and brightest minds.

      Cons

      Support across cross-cutting divisions of the agency is tepid at best and sound decisions for the enterprise are silenced in lieu of historical habits or the status-quo.

      The Engineers in every department are pleasant and professional very easy to work with.

      Cons

      Administrative staff rude and unpleasant causing work environment to be toxic, not a place for people who value their health, because you will become very sick in this atmosphere.
