Pros

Pro: - Really great group of people to work with. They've all got great personality and a strong sense of camaraderie is built in that difficult environment

Cons

There are so many downsides to working here I don't know if I can name them all. The root of all the problems is the CEO. I've never met anybody who cares so little about his employees. He micromanages every aspect of the company. He will respond to your honest questions with sarcasm, non-constructive criticism, and attacks on your character. The work environment at Native Ads is abrasive and unreasonable, here are some examples: - You are expected to be busy practically all the time and you're told it's a fast paced environment. They'll watch you work hours of (unpaid) overtime, leaving the office after 7PM and missing lunch breaks for weeks. Despite this, you'll get flak for being 10 minutes late or browsing the internet on your computer during work hours. - You get 10 days of paid vacation, but you have to "bank" them first. Meaning you will have access to 5 days of vacation after 6 months. However, you cannot roll over your vacation days. While you're on vacation, your work will just pile up until you get back. Not really a vacation, more like delaying work. The company pays lower than the industry standard, expects you to be on call at all times, and only pays for half of your extended benefits. The worst part is that there is a culture of fear, mistrust, and blame within departments. No one wants to be screamed at by the CEO because he doesn't care for explanations, if something doesn't go the way he wanted it to you, he has to scream at someone. Management blames their team, and the team in turn doesn't feel supported or trusted by their department heads. How is any employee supposed to grow like this? While I worked there, I was miserable. It didn't matter how much I gave to the company, how many times I told them I was overworked and couldn't take on more. It kept happening until I finally snapped. You are there to work for them. In the end, the only "value" the company cares about, is how LONG you're willing to work in a given day. It doesn't matter if you are competent, compassionate, good for the work culture, willing to learn and create new opportunities - the list goes on. This company will only value you, if you are willing to do whatever they want you to do at any time of the day.

Pros

Some great staff, opportunities to learn and engage in working in a fast paced environment. Casual office, free lunch usually on Fridays.

Cons

Lots of immaturity in this company, an “us vs you” micromanagement attitude. Unprofessional management and overall you can feel the tense energy everyday walking in. There is no actual training, and management is not the nurturing leader types to compensate for this.
