      Pros

      There are tons of good people working within this organization geared towards improving patient satisfaction.

      Cons

      Management seems out of touch with employees and needs some additional training. There is a major breakdown in communication between management and employees. The new CEO is trying to make changes but this place had been this way for so long, she has her work cut of for her.

      Pros

      Hospital has central transport for patients and self-scheduling.

      Cons

      Budget cuts leave us with faulty equipment and not enough supplies, lack of clinical support, many med-surg patients are ICU acuity level (floor nurses manage insulin drips with 4-5 other patients), always short-staffed, Atrium cutting benefits drastically (like the recent 3 month PTO freeze), low pay, can’t keep staff, management doesn’t care about health or well-being of employees, and so much more.

      A difficult place to work as a RN

      Pros

      experienced, dedicated staff, who work together well.

      Cons

      Brutal work schedule, multiple mandatory on call/overtime shifts. Short on supplies, equipment that work, and chronically understaffed. Shocking amount of staff turnover.
