Pros

Some of the people working there are really great people.

Cons

A downside is how management is handled when they step over the line. I have been shouted at by my manager and when they fired me, I knew there was some retaliation. I will admit I was under qualified for the role and they knew that, but instead of effectively train...because they hadn't trained anyone in years and you could tell. I was treated as if I was wrong for even trying my hardest to please them. I gave it all I got and the manager, well they didn't. Since they were around for 20+ years, their treatment towards me didn't matter and were allowed to fire me. I'm thankful for what I did learn, but it took a while to get over the hurt I felt for how I was treated and let go. I don't want to say much more, but I hope the next person that came in was actually qualified and treated better.

Pros

Great location, near restaurants and a lot of great people who are friendly and helpful. Very diverse

Cons

People who are managers need to have someone above them that will keep accountability. I dealt with someone that was very dominant in their approach. I saw the red flags before being offered the job. He was micromanaging my resume to fit how he wanted to see it. The first day was so so awkward. No one asked questions about me or tried to get to know the coworker; especially the person that was managing me. Training was unorganized with no outline and rushed. They would say one thing is ok then change their mind. My manager blatantly told me on my 4th/5th week that he doesn’t trust me like the other ladies in finance. Well duh they’ve been there for 20+yrs, but you don’t tell people that and think that their going to perform to you liking. I will admit I wasn’t grasping everything with all the pressure on me. He would say it’s ok if it took me 4 months to fully grasp everything, but with all of his shouting at me and throwing work at me(all the while telling me that prefers me to do that and I have to tell him to stop). That practice is very impractical and puts a new person in a place to still appear as if they aren’t able to catch up or incompetent. One thing I should have done was advocate for myself more and a lot earlier to protect myself, but this is the first time I’ve dealt with this type of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been told that if I get something wrong it’ll “make me look bad”. What that means and how effective that was supposed to be is baffling. This same manager who has violated my personal space by reaching over me without saying excuse me and walking away while I was in mid sentence did fire me inside of the 3wk pip he put me on. He didn’t even have the guts to do it himself. There’s so much I’ve dealt with that I cannot fit on here. I know my experience is probably isolated and I hope he does better. There were others that had not so fun experiences with him and it was know he could be….a bit tough or I guess quirky but where the heck is the accountability?! All I can say is worked hard I came in early at 7:30 a and I was respectful and I used my people skills that I’ve learned to be a compliant employee. Maybe Nav should teach people skills there to keep people from shouting at women and making excuses for it without acknowledging their lack of training skills. FYI if someone hasn’t trained someone new in years or at all, chances are they’re not that good at training. I’m never a quitter and I worked until I was let go at the beginning of the final week of my 3 week pip. So I don’t feel bad for what I did learn but I hope there were things addressed for the next person that came/comes in and is trained a lot better than I was and/or someone was actually wayyyy more experienced bc I believe that job was beyond my exposure and the manager operated in a way as if he was trying to justify him hiring me because it sure didn’t come across as if he was trying to cultivate someone to gain success.
