Pros

Quite honestly, the best part about Nelson is their people. I still keep in touch with several of my former co-workers and try to visit when I'm back in town. Also, the work is interesting. If you've ever wondered what a hurricane, tornado, or severe wind/snow storm can do to a building, this is the place for you.

Cons

The biggest con here is the travel. Unfortunately to see all of the cool stuff, you've got to travel to where is happened. During my time at Nelson, I saw places that I never in a million years thought I would. For some people this is great, but for others it's a drawback.

Pros

Great benefits and Friday lunches

Cons

Insecure male managers who do not appreciate females' input or perspective. If you are taking too much initiative they will lie to executives about your (poor) performance. You'll see favoritism here with the top guy who is very obvious about it. The classic example for this office is when the male managers debrief in the men's bathroom before a meeting. There is a substantial amount of bullying of women in this company.

Pros

Good Leadership, lot of autonomy.

Cons

Business is cyclical in nature and there is no variable compensation.
