It can be hard work, particularly as everyone is very much accountable for their own areas in the business. If you don't do the work, then no one else will, and it becomes very apparent. It's a good place for those who want it, but not good for those who are happy to coast.
As a small team, if someone is having a bad day, it can effect the environment of the office. We do have a set of core values to live by, which really helps us work well with each other in the best way.
We work closely with expert consultants and freelancers to get the best work done. In some ways this is really great, but it can also be tough managing workload if they are not always available.
