Pros

Great benefits and pay if you are in sales (I have heard other departments are not as competitive with salary). In sales you get to travel a lot and have the freedom to do it as much or as little as you see fit. The insurance, 401k, HSA, and phone reimbursement are a great benefit. Also, many people are really good people. Some drama but overall great. Netradyne product is top notch. They should own the market but there are cons that are hurting them.

Cons

Lots of turnover in sales. Just watch out. Promises for huge commission checks and promotions are a lie. You have been warned. Just look at ex-employees and LinkedIn and it'll prove what it is like. Leadership is a huge con in my opinion. A lot of the leadership is not qualified to be in their positions. I say this because they do not know what in the world they are doing half the time. Lots of lies coming out of their mouths. They have a track record of being a great individual contributor but as a manager they are lost. This was my experience with more than one manager. The sales process is awful. Takes too long. Getting a quote approved takes too much time and annoys customers. I had several customers back out of deals because we took too long. Not only that but once you got a quote approved by finance it would take weeks to get products shipped out. Netradyne preaches that they are faster than competitors on getting products out to customers but I don't think that is fully the case. It's all talk. This needs fixed. Communication is horrible. Every department communicates in a different manor. Netradyne uses Teams, Slack, Emails, texts, and calls to communicate. I have never worked for a company that uses so many applications to communicate. All they need to do is centralize internal and external communication. Get rid of Teams and email for internal communication and just use Slack. Stop calling me during sales calls and just Slack me. I will get back to you. But it is hard to manage communication when you have to check calls, texts, emails, Slack, AND Teams. This is an easy fix and lots of people complain about it. Another con that I want to write about is how they use the phrase "we are just a startup". This is so annoying. Netradyne is going on 8 years and are still a "startup". Doesn't make sense. You should have figured out your processes by now. I've worked for true startups (1-2 years old companies) and they never used this phrase as much as Netradyne. Stop using the crutch that you are a startup. Get real and move forward. You are not a startup anymore. Get it together and just own the market. Last but not least, Netradyne is wasting money and spending it like crazy. There are so many positions that should not exist and I wonder why they even have that position. Also, they spend so much money on applications and SaaS products. In sales we used several applications to do a simple job. It would make me laugh. Once a month we were adding a new process and application. Like why? All you need is the basics to get the job done. SFDC, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo is plenty. Trim the rest. Waste of money and don't help at all. They are still figuring out because they are still a "startup" lol.

Pros

Some talented and dedicated colleagues

Cons

Toxic Leadership & Favoritism: A deeply ingrained culture of favoritism, driven by the department head, undermines merit, demoralizes the team, and rewards those who flatter him, not those who perform. This creates a hostile and unfair work environment. Retaliation for Speaking Up: Employees who raise concerns about these issues are met with silence, thinly veiled threats, or outright retaliation. This culture of fear prevents open communication and protects the toxic leadership. Fabricated Performance Metrics: The department head presents fabricated performance data to leadership, painting a false picture of success while masking serious underlying problems and wasting company resources. Burnout & Uneven Workload: A small group of dedicated employees are carrying the weight of the entire team while favored individuals coast, leading to severe burnout, stress, and high turnover among the productive members. Incompetence & Lack of Direction: The department head is perceived as incompetent, unable to make decisions, solve problems, or provide meaningful direction. This leads to project stagnation, wasted resources, and a lack of innovation.

Best Tech & Worst Leadership

Pros

By far best camera system in the market. Used to be run by servant leaders.

Cons

New leadership came in November and changed the culture right away. Micromanage everything. Spend 2 hours weekly just talking about pipeline and things that are already listed in Salesforce (even on Enterprise deals that take 6+ months to close). It used to be a great place to work. Quota has sky rocketed (No one hit last year) and they cut sales people every quarter regardless of performance and very cut throat with management. They don't know this industry and don't care to listen about how things are done. Treat it as a pure SaaS company when they have hardware too. Disagree at all, and you are gone. Also, outsourcing everything to India to keep costs down.
