Pros

The feeling when you finally quit.

Cons

This is the worst job you will ever have. As close to a sweatshop as you will find in the western world, Network Research is a place where you will be castigated for: Going to the toilet Leaving a bottle of water on your desk while you work Taking longer than five seconds between calls Looking out the window Talking to a co-worker Doodling on a piece of paper while you wait for someone to pick up Having an accent Not resting your headset correctly on the little hook Acting human The existential dread you'll feel before a day-long Saturday shift is the worst experience you will endure in your working life. After the dead-eyed management babble on about their "company values" they will tell you that you can get your bonus if you jump through the requisite hoops - this is a lie. I know this as I somehow managed to meet the impossible hit rate one month only to have that months bonus denied as I had been three minutes late once the previous month. This fact was not made aware to me until after the subsequent month had passed. In short; they will always find away of ensuring you don't get what's coming to you. Living on the streets and turning tricks would be better than working here. And they'll try and diddle you out of your final pay, too. This is the nadir of the 21st century British service economy. Run for your lives.

Pros

Flexible working hours Perfect student job Clean office Competitiveness encouraged and you can keep track of your hit rates

Cons

Supervisors on a power trip. Breaks consist of being herded into a glass room and standing in silence for 15 minutes. Very authoritative office regime, not even allowed to open a window without permission. At one point I was thrown out of the conference room for eating a chocolate digestive during a coffee break. Everything is monitored, from the proportion of refusals you code to where your cursor is on the screen.
