Executives and management are not truly committed to creating culture, community, and innovation. They act as gatekeepers who inject their own biases into their decisions on every level...hiring, member outreach, programming. The salaries are also not liveable for a city like Los Angeles (at least not for staff who are not part of upper management/executive team) and are not enough for the work that is expected.

NeueHouse … not sure where to start but here it goes. The company needs to establish the basics for running a high functioning organization. First and foremost hiring competent and ethical professionals. The Director of HR has created a biased work environment that targets employees. There is also a bully culture that is encouraged by HR and nothing is done to remedy the situation. Imagine Mean Girls & The Twilight Zone – a bunch of psychotic, narcissistic “adults” running around acting like teenagers on a power trip – that is what it feels like to work at NeueHouse. I have never witnesses such a hostile and toxic work environment that management simply does care to fix or simply does not feel is an issue… very disturbing to say the least. Glad to have left and good luck to anyone that is brave enough to accept a position. You have been warned.
