Pros

30% discount, free food culls, good medical benefits

Cons

Management plays favorites and doesn't even try to hide it. Some employees are criticized on every detail while others get away with murder. The ease of your shift will depend on the manager's mood that day. Turnover is high in this department for a reason. This store is extremely cliquey, and if you are not "popular" then people are talking smack about you behind your back. Extremely unprofessional environment overall. Managers are generally too busy chatting with each other or flirting with customers to be of any real assistance in the store.

Pros

This job is great for someone who loves working independently as well as with a team! Someone who likes working within a small group of team members who enjoy helping customers out as much as helping their fellow employees out! Sometimes you receive tips 👍🏼. You get to drink the free ends of the smoothies before you toss it out! You get a 30% discount card for items in the store! You get a raise every six months no matter the rate of your review each year!

Cons

I came in with 8years of experience in grocery store experience and customer service, but stated my rate of pay at $19.80 and hour. When I started out at this company back in 2008, they hadn’t yet merged with a bigger corporation of stores in Southern California as well. Now they have really strict rules around attendance, I was written up if I had more than two times being late within 1 month. If you’re having any back problems like I do, they will get worse!!! You’re standing for 7.5 hours, as well as lifting heavy boxes! Customer service employees DO NOT get the credit they deserve for sticking with their jobs and doing excellent work! Lack of recognition and encouragement from management creates tension and resentment within the company and especially within the employee’s ability to stick with this type of work long term!!
