Pros

Remote work. PTO. Paid Servicenow learning courses. That’s It.

Cons

Sneaky Management. Management does not rally for its employees. Unorganized projects. No uniform processes throughout the company. Company taking on way more than they can handle. Employees are suffering due to immense workload in certain areas/depts. Tons of engineers keep quitting. The company is wrapped in a pretty bow on the outside but the inside is trash. They force you into certifications to help maintain their “elite partnership” status. You reach out to leaders to express any type of concerns you have and its met with condescending, patronizing remarks and you feel as if YOU did something wrong.

None; there are no longer any “Pros” to work here

Cons

It appears that NewRocket changed the CEO Glassdoor profile as an attempt to boost their rating. The current CEO is toxic. I worked for this company in a management position and, when they first started the company, there was an amazing CEO with a leadership team who truly cared about their employees. Since the new CEO took over, the work environment is toxic with a total lack of respect for employees. The current leadership team shows no interest in addressing employee concerns or fostering a healthy workplace culture. This used to be a company who believed that “People matter. Employees matter. You matter.” But no longer. Instead, they seem more focused on creating an atmosphere of fear, where communication is disorganized and confusing, and a complete lack of transparency regarding company decisions and changes. Employees are let go, seemingly for no reason - at the drop of a hat. The overall morale is extremely low, with many employees feeling undervalued and overworked. There is a high turnover rate, and it’s clear that the company struggles to retain talent due to its detrimental work environment. The lack of support and recognition makes it clear that employees are not valued. Dedication, tenure and exemplary performance - not valued. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking a positive and supportive work culture. This has become a challenging place to work, perhaps due to the large shift to do most of their hiring in India

NewRocket Response

Was disheartened to read this. You just haven't had the experience that I have had, or the other 400 crew members have had. For that I am sorry. Change can be very hard and even feel toxic when it is change that impacts you negatively, actually or via perception. We enjoy the involvement of 2 CEOs now as the former CEO remains an active board member, seller and enthusiast, and we have our new fearless leader building the next version of NewRocket. Unfortunately it seems you didn't feel that and for that I am aso sorry. Rest assured we are taking your words to heart. Thank you for replying and giving your opinion.

Pros

- The rank and file staff (and people managers) are among the best. This is the only positive about NewRocket. My peers and I are actively looking elsewhere. I legitimately don’t know of anyone who’s NOT looking to jump off the sinking ship.

Cons

- Continual mass layoffs. We’re on what, round 9 of this year? - Hyper-focused on billables. Unrealistically prioritizing this as the company wants to position itself for a sale - Zero culture. Went from a culture-first, excellent leader to what we have today - Are you in North America? Good luck because we’re slowly replacing everyone with India so that we can maximize profit margins. - Layoffs and departures from NA are rarely replaced. Company gloats about hiring so many out of India in the midst of NA layoffs. - No longer focused on quality. Cut costs, undersell SOWs, and let the PM and project team deal with the mess. Poor CSAT? 100% project team’s fault! - Career development and growth? Non-existent. They took away people managers’ time to mentor and coach their teams in the name of “freeing them up” to take on more billables. Smart move! - Top talent continuously leaving of their own accord. When you see this happening at such a rate, you know there are fundamental problems at this company - Executive management? Completely out of touch. Only time they show enthusiasm or excitement is when they’re salivating over increasing billable targets for everyone without any contemplation (nor increased compensation) - Undefined PTO. Sold as “Unlimited or Flexible PTO”, but not really. There are clearly set limits, but HR does not want to communicate it as it puts them in a precarious position. Have you ever worked at a place that doesn’t tell you how many days off you get? I can now say I have! - The company will deny it, but employees know that senior leadership is in full damage control on Glassdoor so as to try and maintain a 4+ rating in order to attract foreign talent. Take note as you read through their responses to critical insight
